Slide Trigger Kit Parts Installation:

All parts should be installed by a certified Glock armorer.

Scroll through the photos below to get an idea of the parts if you are not familiar with them...

Instructions written in black are for disassembly. Instructions written in red are for reassembly.

Fig 1) Push and hold down on the black plastic spacer sleeve with your disassembly tool. There is only a small amount of the spacer sleeve exposed in front of the firing pin leg...

Fig 2) While pushing and holding down on the spacer sleeve (Figure 1) with one hand, use your other hands thumb to push the slide cover plate off. It might take a lot of pressure to get the cover plate off. There is spring tension under the cover plate so keep your thumb covering the opening as pictured above to keep the parts from flying out...

Fig 3) Pull out the firing pin assembly...

Fig 4) Pull out the extractor depressor plunger assembly...

Fig 5) While pressing on the firing pin safety the extractor can be removed. Reassembly Note: When reinstalling, insert the firing pin safety and press it down with your thumb. Then slide the extractor in place. Be sure to hold the extractor in place while you install the firing pin assembly and the extractor depressor plunger assembly to keep it from falling out...

Fig 6) Remove the firing pin safety...

Fig 7) Removing and installing the firing pin spring and spring cups can be a problem at times, but a helpful tool is using the slide to remove and install the firing pin spring and spring cups. Also, another useful tool is a clear gallon zip lock bag. Slide the clear bag over the firing pin while removing and installing the spring cups and then if something happens the firing pin and cups stay in the bag and don't get lost.Fig 7a) Shows how the spring cups are a pair and split apart so the firing pin spring can be removed from the firing pin...

Now is a good time to clean the firing pin channel of all dirt and debris and you can start installing the trigger kit:

Install the parts in reverse order as above and don't force anything!

The picture above on the left shows the firing pin in the forward (fired) position which helps when you put the slide back on the frame after the trigger kit is installed. Use your thumb or disassembly tool and push on the firing pin safety to let the firing pin move forward.
